[ and now it's time to help paint the holiday mural! oh boy, now this is something that naegi can do. he's wearing his old paint-stained pants and hoodie (he actually has specific clothes that he wears when he paints) and he's so ready to go. he's actually super pumped since he hasn't really been able to paint in his free time lately due to work and school so it's nice to do art again for fun ]

How about we paint a snowman?

[ NOT...REALLY...she can meticulously color inside the lines but she has no art in her soul. sketches of crime scene layouts are in he circle of talents? but yeah no she isn't an Artist even if she can manage like. vaguely above gradeschool level sketches if she really tried maybe. kind of.

she's in just jeans and an old rec u sweatshirt, so this is the most casual she's ever been around him probably... ]

That would be appropriately festive...what sort of background, though? Day or night?

Hmm, maybe we should do daytime. It'd be easier to paint and then we can do a lot more things, like Christmas trees and lights.

That's true. It can be really hard to get paint out of your clothes... [ see naegi's clothes right now... this was once his favourite hoodie... ] But still, I actually once thought you didn't own any casual clothes at all.

Yeah, but I feel like you would somehow manage to pull it off. Plus, whenever I come to visit, no matter how late it is, I always see you dressed like you're ready to go out to work or school.

To be honest, I kind of wonder if you actually ever sleep...

My schedule is just a little in flux because of school...well, admittedly I've always been something of a night owl, too?

I feel some sense of obligation to the task of a detective, I suppose...?

Oh, maybe that’s because you were a detective in the other world but that’s still another life, right? I don’t think you should feel obligated to do anything from a different life.

It is. That sense of "obligation" was in all of my memories bar none...so, the more I receive, the more I feel it, I suppose.
