He certainly does. But it's not surprising. In any life, that boy would benefit from a stronger diet.

I'm afraid not. Or at least, not yet. [He can never be sure when a memory will crop up.] This behavior is... quite unfamiliar to me.

To me as well...you don't act as yourself in most of my memories at all.

That's unexpected. Could this all have been the effect of some odd diet? Or perhaps... I merely changed over time. [He frowns as he looks away thoughtfully.]

Perhaps after fighting through your family you took on a more aggressive persona...until later...?

...It's possible that the stresses of those battles shaped such an attitude in me. And then... perhaps working alongside some of you helped me to realize my true ideals.

I...believe I was recalcitrant to working together at first also.

I see. [He nods along.] It suppose it is an understandable instinct when placed in such an extreme situation with apparent strangers.

[It just goes against the ideals that he himself aspires for... and that his other self seems to have aspired for as well, in the memories that he has of the island killing game.]

...We must have been had quite the rigorous learning experience.

I believe so...but also, I think perhaps it was the people we were with who helped to teach us about that sort of thing.

I suppose that's also possible. [A beat.] People like Makoto? [He does recall her talking about the effect he can have on others.]

Yes. He...taught us all about being a team, I suppose?

I see. [He folds his arms thoughtfully.] I suppose he does have a strong sense of team ethics, even if he strikes me as much more of a follower-type than a leader-type.

I think his selling point was that he got along with everyone...from what I do remember, that wasn't the case for all of us.

I can't dispute the value of a trait like that. [He says with a soft nod.] There are those who even my patience can't tolerate. But Makoto? ...Yes, I can see how his nature can prevent him from turning others away. And how it could be... helpful, in terms of uniting us.
